Richard is a Chartered quantity surveyor who is a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a member of International Construction Law Association, King’s College Construction Law Association and Society of Construction Law.
Richard is a main board director of DGA responsible for the UK service delivery of conflict avoidance and dispute resolution. He has vast experience in the preparation and defence of construction related disputes and is regularly appointed to act as quantum expert and has provided written and oral evidence in adjudications, arbitrations and at mediation.
He has 34 years of experience in the construction industry representing both Employers and Contractors in the building, civil and infrastructure sectors. Richard’s past senior roles have provided him with wide ranging commercial and strategic skills throughout the life cycle of projects from inception through to asset disposal
Richard has extensive experience in the building sector, at both the pre and post-contract stages, as well as having gained varied contract knowledge across many construction sectors. He has represented clients and contractors at senior levels in both the commercial and project management disciplines. Richard’s skills include:

Richard was recently part of the consultation group responsible for the drafting of ACA’s FAC/1 and is active is providing academic assistance to post-graduate construction law students at King’s College.
