Scott joined DGA Group to manage the growing business in the North East of England in May 2016. Scott is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a qualified Solicitor. Following several years in commercial management and consulting, he qualified as a Solicitor and took up roles with a London law firm and then as in-house legal counsel and Commercial Director for an international contractor. Scott is currently non-practising as a Solicitor due to his current role involving consulting, commercial management, preparation of quantum (time and cost) and alternative dispute resolution.
He has extensive experience of a wide variety of projects and clients within the United Kingdom and overseas (France, Finland, Chile, Argentina, Canada, USA, India, Maldives, Taiwan and Australia) crossing civil engineering, building, facilities management, chemical/process engineering, oil/gas, mining and power generation (nuclear, EfW, wind, C&G) and decommissioning sectors. Scott is involved with the provision of contractual advice, preparation and analysis of claims, drafting pleadings/ submissions for and representation in Adjudication and Arbitration proceedings, commercial/ contractual support to parties engaged in construction and engineering projects.
When not engaged in either work or DIY, Scott enjoys skiing, cycling and time with his family.
